Mark is an experienced company Director and former CEO. He is currently the Chair of two prominent New Zealand organisations that play crucial roles in the country’s infrastructure and construction sectors; Crown Infrastructure Partners Limited and Hynds Group Ltd. Mark is also a Director of Auckland International Airport Ltd, a Director of renewable energy generator, Mercury, and a Trustee of the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

Previously, Mark was Chief Executive of Meridian Energy – New Zealand’s largest renewable electricity generator – and led the company through the largest Initial Public Offering in the country’s history. Mark also worked for one of New Zealand’s largest listed companies Fletcher Building and Fletcher Challenge, for 22 years. He rose to the position of Chief Executive of the Infrastructure Division of Fletcher Building, the largest and most profitable division. Mark was responsible for the construction activities and heavy building materials of the Group and was intimately involved in the negotiation and execution of a number of large infrastructure projects including Auckland’s SKYCITY Casino, the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa and Wellington’s Westpac Stadium.

Mark trained as a lawyer and was a partner at a top-tier law firm.
